Introduction
Huawei has completely blurred the lines between its signature Mate and P series by raising the bar up and down every six months. And it has done it again with the Huawei P30 Pro - now with a larger AMOLED screen and a new quad camera set that aims to be a new standard across the industry.
Just as expected the next Leica camera premieres smartphone in the Huawei P30 Pro and is now in the quad setup. But Huawei has not just added a ToF sensor and called it a day. Instead, the manufacturer made improvements throughout the board - the main snapper has a new 40MP sensor made by Sony for low light performance and optical durability.
Huawei then launched its game and introduced a new periscopic lens to achieve a 5x visual zoom on its 8MP phone camera. The so-called hybrid zoom is available and is now 10x, with an access point as high as 50x - all digital only, of course.
Review of Huawei P30 Pro
The third camera is borrowed directly from the Mate 20 Pro - a 20MP snapper with a 16mm wide lens and autofocus.
The fourth and final camera is the ToF unit mentioned above, which promises to take this photo and take another note.
Selfie fans have not forgotten - the front camera is now a single 32MP, with AI HDR + and enhanced photos. It lacks autofocus, sadly.
Review of Huawei P30 Pro
The selfie snapper holds a small notch on the new 6.47 "AMOLED" screen. so there is no need for a real ear.
Other good features from the Mate 20 Pro are the 40W Super Charging and 15W wireless charging support, as well as repeatable wireless charging.

The other good news is that the P30 Pro is rated with IP68 for dust and water resistance.
Like the Mate 20 series, the P30 system adopts the option of a small NM card expansion with all the pros and cons involved.
Finally, the P30 Pro mocks the latest EMUI 9.1 based on Android Pie. The phone uses Huawei's new EROFS file system however, which should provide the best learning speeds. But before we get into all that information and technology, let’s take this P30 Pro out of its box.
